I’ve often said power must always be in service to love. This is a pretty good rule of thumb.
Sometimes power and love decide to be equals, to do full partnership, dancing, weaving, fucking, overall having a great time with each other like we do when there’s full mutuality.
Power has a way of insisting on taking over until it gets tired of destroying things.
Love has a way of being anemic when it doesn’t like power or thinks power is its opposite or just finds strength a difficult energy to bring in.
When love decides to be powerful, it realizes things have to be destroyed sometimes.
When power decides to slow its roll and stop destroying things just because it can or because it’s what happens, it settles in and calms down.
Calm power. Strong love.

Boundaries are power’s baby steps towards itself.
Unfortunately if you’re in therapy in the west, you’re not likely to receive much guidance beyond boundaries, because therapy in the west is so immature.
